training
There is a residency training program for family medicine that includes 1 year of practical training in a hospital setting called “internatura.” This is followed by a 2-year obligatory first work placement in a primary care setting called “raspredelenie.” (Richardson et al., 2013). Post graduate training in family medicine is 3 years (Belarusian State Medical University, n.d.)
