Healthcare system

Ukraine is currently in the process of transforming from a universal healthcare system-set previously during the Soviet times-to an insurance based healthcare system.

Training:

There are over 5000 family medicine clinics around the country now and 19 academic departments of family medicine. There are also more than 700 trained family doctors in Ukraine now which is a great achievement with the Eastern European Health reform.
