According to The World Bank, family medicine emerged in Uzbekistan in 2001 (World Bank, 2011). The Tashkent Medical Academy has a 6-year post-secondary medical school program (Tashkent Medical Academy, n.d.). No other information regarding residency training programs was discovered. There was no comprehensive data found on Uzbekistan through an online scope or literature review. The initial literature scope was done to collect data from online sources, such as, medical school websites and the WHO website. The literature review was done to collect data from papers retrieved using Google, Google Scholar, PubMed, and Web of Science. No key informants were obtained to help verify or obtain information.
