Healthcare System

St. Lucia's healthcare is mostly public.The Ministry of health oversees all health related policies and oversees the delivery of both primary and secondary health services. There is a private sector in this country but it is not the sector which the majority of the citizens use for their health services.

Training:

Training in this country involves a high school diploma followed by 4.5 years of medical school and a 2 year training to attain a diploma. The diploma is considered to replace residency in this country.
