PRACTICE
The Turkmen State Medical Institute is Turkmenistan’s only medical school institution and was established in 1931 (Turkmen State Institute). The school contains a Department of Family Medicine, but it is unknown what the curriculum contains, or if there is a residency training program available. There was no comprehensive data found on Turkmenistan through an online scope and literature review. The initial literature scope was done to collect data from online sources, such as, medical school websites and the WHO website. The literature review was done to collect data from papers retrieved using Google, Google Scholar, PubMed, and Web of Science. No key informants were obtained to help verify or obtain information.
